Problem Areas-

Tea growers in India face challenges from pests and diseases that can damage crops and reduce yields. Additionally, changing weather patterns and climate change impact tea quality, growth, and yield, necessitating farmers to adjust their cultivation practices. These challenges require proactive measures and adaptation strategies to ensure the sustainability and productivity of tea plantations in India.

Our Technology:  

Aquaritin Foliar is designed to overcome these challenges.

  1. Enhanced pests and disease tolerance - Increased tolerance against pests and diseases thereby reducing crop losses. In year 1 of use, the grower can expect 40% reduction in pesticide and fungicide use.
  2. Sustainable and climate change ready product - The Silica in Aquaritin forms a protective coating on an intracellular level that decreases water loss through transpiration, making plants less likely to suffer dramatically during drought conditions. It also enables them to continue functioning during high-temperature or low-moisture conditions and reduces the number of shocks they experience in such extreme cases.
  3. Does not interfere with Natural Biodiversity of soil and water: Nutrients are mobile at nano scale as such they translocate within the plants more readily and nutrients are completely absorbed through the stomatal openings within minutes (<20 minutes). This prevents wastage of foliar spray in case of rainfall. 99% of the nutrients are absorbed within the plants and almost nothing runs off to the natural water bodies or soil which may otherwise cause explosive growth of algae, water hyacinth and weeds.
  4. Boosts Photosynthesis efficiency leading to higher yields and better fertilizer productivity.
  5. Help balances Nitrogen and Phosphorus – Helps restore loss of N and P which runoff from conventional fertilizers through erosion and leaching.
  6. Reduces water consumption by at least 20% through reduction of transpiration loss.
  7. Savings in manpower costs, reduced logistic and storage costs - 1 litre of Aquaritin treats 3 hectares. Annual consumption is 2.5 to 3.0 L of AF per hectare sprayed over 8-9 sprays (please see sell sheets for more details)
